Caring for your stainless steel and sea glass jewellery
Silver-tone steel, gold-tone steel and sea glass do not need the same attention: the right habits to keep your jewellery bright through the seasons.

A piece you love is a piece you wear often, and that is just as it should be. Our creations combine two materials that age well: stainless steel and sea glass. A few simple habits are enough to keep them bright, as long as you know what each one expects from you. Here is the essential, material by material.
Stainless steel, an everyday metal
We chose stainless steel for its strength. It does not rust, does not oxidise and keeps its shine, which makes it a companion for real life. In its silver-tone version, its colour is that of the metal itself: there is no layer to protect, and it keeps its shade without fading.
Its care is therefore minimal. If your silver-tone piece has lost some of its shine, run it under lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse it, then dry it carefully with a soft cloth. Drying it completely is the only real secret: it prevents limescale marks and lets the metal shine. Hypoallergenic, steel also suits the most sensitive skin.
To discover our silver-tone designs, the Bracelets collection brings several of them together, from bangles to fine chains.
Gold tone needs a little more attention
Gold-tone stainless steel is enhanced with a fine layer of gold. That layer gives it its warm, luminous shade, and that is the layer to look after. How long a gold plating lasts depends largely on the attention it receives.
To keep it as long as possible:
- avoid prolonged contact with water, especially in the pool or the sea;
- take your jewellery off to sleep, shower or exercise;
- do not spray perfume or apply creams directly onto the piece;
- store it away from humidity.
For cleaning, a soft, dry cloth is enough. Avoid abrasive products, brushes and silver cleaners, which would wear the plating away instead of reviving it.
Sea glass, soft but fragile
Sea glass has already been through many storms: its frosted surface is the result of long years of work by waves and sand. It fears neither water nor time. Yet it is still glass, and a hard knock against a hard surface can chip it.
A few reflexes are enough: take off your rings and bracelets before handling heavy objects or gardening, and set your jewellery down rather than dropping it into a bowl. To clean it, a soft, slightly damp cloth does the job perfectly. There is no need to make it shine: its matte, velvety look is its signature, the one the sea gave it.
Storing your jewellery well
Storage matters as much as cleaning. Keep each piece separately, in a pouch or a compartment, so that chains do not tangle and pieces do not scratch one another. A dry place is ideal: a humid bathroom is not the best jewellery box, especially for gold-tone pieces.
The box your order arrives in can also serve to store a piece you wear less often.
The right habits, in short
- Silver-tone steel: lukewarm water, mild soap, dry completely.
- Gold-tone steel: dry cloth, no prolonged water, no perfume or cream on the piece.
- Sea glass: soft cloth, safe from knocks.
- For all: dry storage, each piece on its own.
